Clogging is a folk dance that started in the Appalachian Mountains in the US. Settlers from different countries got together and shared the dance forms from their respective areas. From this grew clogging along with bluegrass music. Today we clog to all types of music: country, pop, gospel, or whatever else we like. We dance with taps on our shoes, so we make a fair amount of noise when we get going. Cherry City Cloggers is the largest clogging club in Oregon and possibly the Pacific Northwest. Our membership averages about 100 dancers. Instructors are Cheri Posedel and Lori Buckley, who make classes lots of FUN! You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader® to view our newsletters, cue sheets, and either Window Media Player or VLC media player to view the step videos.
